Tamil Political Party Forum to meet on August 14

The Forum of Tamil Political Parties will meet on August 14, 2010 in Batticaloa at the request of Eastern Province Chief Minister S Chandrakanthan.

TNA Leader R Sambandan has been invited to attend the Forum.

Since the first meeting of the Forum on June 24, 2010 the Tamil political parties have been discussing the future political path they should take and the objectives they would uphold. At its last meeting on July 28 held in Colombo the Forum discussed the issue of absorbing common ideas and standing for their future activities.

Leader of Tamil Liberation United Front V Anandasangari, Selvanayagam, Chandrahasan and Perinpanayagam, Chandrakanthan, Chief Minister of Eastern Province and Leader of Tamil People’s Liberation Tiger Organization, Asath Mowlana, his Media Secretary, T Sritharan, Representing EPRLF, (Pathmanabha Group) Dharmalingam Siththarthan Sathanandan Leader of PLOTE and R Ragavan, Sivarajalingam (Former Member of Parliament), Representing Tamil National Liberation Front, Uthayan G Surendran Leader of Sri TELO Organization, Nalliah Kumarakuruparan, Democratic People’s Front Secretary and Member of Parliament.

Leader of EPDP and Minister of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development Douglas Devananda, P Rajkumar and S Jeyakumar of EPDP participated at the last meeting of the Forum.
