Legal action against local Govt Authorities failing in dengue fight

Legal action will be taken against Local Government Authorities who fail in Dengue eradication, Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena said.

He was addressing a Jana Hamuwa after opening a kidney treatment unit at Nikawewa Hospital, Kurunegala. Minister Sirisena also observed that most kidney patients are reported from Wayamba, North Central and Uva Provinces.

The Health Ministry has allocated seven percent from the National Budget to treat Kidney patients.

The Minister said during the last five decades, Sri Lanka has performed exceptionally well in improving the health status of the population.
