HFC Jaffna, a national school

The Holy Family Convent Jaffna has been upgraded as a National school with effect from August 5. This convent functioned separately as a Tamil and English convent and has now been amalgamated as Jaffna Holy Family Convent and upgraded as a National School at the request of the parents and the Bishop of Jaffna Mgr. Dr. Thomas Saundranayagam.

The School Development society and the parents organized a function at the school to celebrate the occasion. This is the only Catholic girls school in the peninsula to be upgraded as a National school.
