Profoods/Propack 2010:

Showcasing Sri Lanka's entire food supply string

The country's largest leading agribusiness, food processing and packaging companies will showcase Sri Lanka's complete food supply string at Profoods / Propack 2010 Exhibition organized by the Sri Lanka Food Processors Association and Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services on August 20, 21 and 22. This tradeshow will provide a platform to develop the sector through enhancement of the standards and sharing the experiences with local and foreign players of the industry.

Profoods exhibition will provide an opportunity for food processors and packaging companies to promote the diversity of its food and services together with globally popular cuisine by providing a platform environment for Sri Lanka to play a major role in stimulating brand value and marketing as a supplier of diverse food and packaging products.

The event will host a number of programs bringing a whole new experience of a complete grocery store to its consumers and visitors.

"The event will showcase the latest products in the local processed food industry, sampling of consumer favourites, innovations and technology development in Packaging, newest agricultural machinery and services, processed food hygiene education and many more. The event also accommodates for food and beverage companies to launch their latest products and services targeting the consumer market," said Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services, General Manager Aasim Mukthar.

This event is sponsored by Ceylon Biscuits Limited as the Gold Sponsor and the show is a public-private partnership, with the Industries Ministry and the Agriculture Development Ministry with Sri Lanka Food Processors Association (SLFPA), National Agri Business Council and Processed Foods Development Initiative.
