BCC Award - Special Projects :
Get recognized for your efforts
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce encourages business enterprises to
apply for its 'Awards for Special CSR Projects' under the Best Corporate
Citizen Award. Initiated three years back, the 'Awards for Special CSR
Projects' is an attempt to recognize and reward outstanding efforts made
by private/public corporates to make a positive contribution to the
welfare of their different stakeholders, going beyond their normal
course of business.
This award is specifically focused on small and medium size
public/private corporates that lack the resource capabilities to imbed
sustainability in every aspect of their business, but have vision and
passion in abundance to improve the welfare of its stakeholders.
This award has gained much popularity over the years, not only with
increasing number of small and medium scale applicants, but also with
larger corporates entering their special projects.
Thus, companies that have implemented exceptional CSR projects that
were completed by March 31, 2010 (projects could have commenced either
prior to or after April 1, 2009, but should have completed a substantial
amount of work within the year ending March 31, 2010) can apply for this
award.
Three awards will be given for the top three overall Special CSR
Projects with Certificates of Merit given for all Special CSR Projects
that achieve a minimum specified standard.
Applications can be downloaded from the Ceylon Chamber web site
www.chamber.lk or contact the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce for further
details.
