MIG Retail Summit on Friday
The MIG Retail Summit 2010 organized by the Chartered Institute of
Marketing (CIM) Sri Lanka Region, will be held on August 13 from 8.30 am
onwards at the Ceylon Continental Hotel in Colombo. CIM, as one of the
leading international professional bodies for marketing and business
development in Sri Lanka, is conducting this summit foreseeing the need
for retail excellence in a post-conflict environment with great
potential for growth.
The primary objective of the CIM Sri Lanka Region Market Interest
Groups (MIGs) is to establish, promote and practise marketing excellence
within various industry sectors and to raise awareness to bring in new
techniques for retail marketing, specifically to marketeers in the FMCG,
Retail or Modern Trade sectors.
The summit will feature Triumph International India Managing Director
Thorsten Allenstein, Glendinning Management Consultants Consultant and
former P and G Professional, International Accounts Director Jules
Young, Shopworks India. Chief Executive Officer Sanjeev Metta and DHL
Global Forwarding Lanka Pvt Ltd. Chief Operating Officer and Exel
Logistics Services Lanka Pvt. Ltd. Managing Director Jonathan O'Leary
will be the resource persons for this summit.
The dynamics of retail branding in emerging markets, winning at the
point of sales, keys to research, layout and design in successful
retailing and supply chain success are some of the viewpoints that will
be shared at this event.
