Twin centuries by Amila

Record twin centuries by Amila Rukshantha helped Matale Cricket Club to score a first innings win over Kalutara Town Club in their Sri Lanka Crickets under 23 cricket tournament match played at the Bernard Aluwihare Stadium, Matale. Twenty year old Amila Rukshantha's feat is a record for club cricket in the Central Province. Perhaps in this tournament.

This left handed opening batsman scored a massive 182 in the first innings with the help of 27 fours and 2 sixes off 158 balls. On 182 runs for the first wicket with Thusith Udayanga 72.

Amila Rukshantha got his second hundred in the match when he scored 107 with the aid of 13 fours and one six off 104 deliveries.

Matale CC 344 for 2 declared in 55 overs (Amila Rukshantha 182, Thusith Udayanga 72, Amila Ranasinghe 54 not out, Malith de Silva 21 not out, Chamika Nawaratne 1 for 6) and 281 for 3 declared in 43 overs (Amila Rukshantha 107, Amila Ranasinghe 100 not out, Malith de Silva 31, Sadun Chanaka 1 for 16, Anushka Fernando 1 for 39). Kalutara Town Club 251 all out in 68 over (Prasanna Eranga 52, Sadun Chanaka 38, Chamika Nuwan 41, Shaveendra Amaradasa 4 for 77, Amith Tillakaratne 3 for 60) and 77 for 2 wickets in 18 over (Shantha de Silva 50, Akila Weerasinghe 1 for 0).
