Decision on Clifford Cup final venue today
The Caltex Clifford Cup final between the
defending champions Kandy Sports Club and the Sri Lanka Navy will be
played at the Bogambara Stadium, Kandy on Sunday (August 1) at 4.30
p.m. This match was earlier scheduled to be played on Saturday and
has been put off by a day.

Sri Lanka has to take early wickets, says Mahela
Sri Lanka’s Vice Captain Mahela Jayawardena
addressing a press briefing after Tuesday’s play said, “We have to
take early wickets tomorrow morning because the pitch is good to bat
on and it has more bounce on it, but it will spin more during the
next three days and that Sri Lanka has to dismiss the dangerous
Sehwag early.”
