Empowering SLTB

The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has launched a project to empower all depots going through financial crises. This program will be implemented in 30 selected depots in the island.

Prize distribution

The prize distribution of “The Light of Asia” Contest 2010 and English Dhamma/ Abhidhamma Examination 2009 conducted by the Colombo YMBA will be held on Saturday at 2.30 p.m. in the Borella Hall of the Association. The Chief Guest will be Tissa Devendra, retired Ceylon Administrative Service Officer.

Lecture/discussion

The sixth in the series of Healthy Lifestyle Lecture/Discussion ‘Perfect Mental Health’ will be held at the All Ceylon Women’s Buddhist Congress, Colombo 7 today at 5 pm.

Temple festival

The annual festival of the Slave Island (Kompanna Veediya) Hindu temple commenced on Tuesday (26) and will end on August 4.

Mission with a difference

An extraordinary spiritual mission, designed to provide much enlightenment, will be conducted at Christ Church, Mirihana from 9 am to 1 pm with a break for tea on July 31 and August 1. The Missioner is Dr. Vijaya Corea.
