Tri-Star opens Nawalapitiya factory

Youth Affairs Minister Dullas Alahapperuma opened a new Tri-Star Garment factory at Nawalapitiya. Deputy Youth Affairs Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage and Chairman of Tri-Star Apparel Kurmar Devapura participated.

Over 300 youth from Nawalapitiya area were given job opportunities at this factory. For the first three months job training of juki machine operating system will be given for this youth selected from the area.

Devapura who is a leading garments manufacturer said he is not losing much with withdrawal of GSP+.

He said he is receiving more orders from America and London after end of the war. Devapura has opened 13 factories with the help of President Mahinda Rajapaksa which were closed in the past. His contribution to the economy appreciable by every body.
