More credit to low-income groups

The Economic Development Ministry has distributed Rs 54,249 million credit to low-income group families through the Samurdhi Bank network to uplift their livelihoods, said Samurdhi Authority’s Director General Bandula Thilakasiri. Some of the beneficiaries under this scheme had settled the previous loans obtained by them, he said.
