Survey on production utility

The National Science Foundation will launch a survey to collect data on new varieties of products manufactured in the country to analyze their utility on economic development. The survey will be conducted islandwide beginning from the end of July.

The objective of the survey is to establish a process to guide manufacturing new products in commercial basis.

This is the first survey of this nature.

It will cover categorizing of varieties of industries in terms of the international standards industrial categorization.

The survey applies on State and private sector organizations, universities, educational and research institutes.

The National Science Foundation will gather data for the period from 2005 to 2009 and utilize them for the development of the country.
