Praja Sahana Seva for every district

Praja Sahana Seva, a mobile service program to address peoples problem at grass root level will be conducted in every district, Public Administration and Home Affairs Minister W.D.J. Seneviratne said.

He said it is a rare opportunity to a politician to feel the pulse of rural community and see their life pattern, he added.

The Minister was addressing a gathering at the inaugural Praja Sathkara Seva program launched by the Public Administration and Home Affairs Ministry at Kegalla Convent recently. Minister Seneviratne said that public officers who occupied air-conditioned rooms would never tackle the people's problems.

In accordance with the Mahinda Chinthana Idiri Dekma the divisional administration system should go to the people for its empowering.

The Praja Sahana Seva program has been originated to fulfill this requirement, Seneviratne said. Over 14,000 people submitted their problems to the relevant Department of the Ministry and most of them returned with satisfied solutions to problems.
