Josephian Walk 2010

The Josephian Walk 2010 was held yesterday in Colombo with the participation of the Rector, teachers, old boys, present students and well-wishes.

The Walk commenced after hoisting the National Flag by Chief Guest Attorney General Mohan Pieris PC, a distinguished old boy and the College flag by Rector Sylvester Ranasinghe.

Fr Vincent Dep, Fr Dr Stanly Abeysekera, Solicitor General Priyasath Dep PC, senior most Josephian K.S. Surendran also participated.

The Walk began from the College premises and went through Darley Road, Lipton Circus, Deans Road, Arnold Ratnayake Mawatha and to the College premises.

Chief Guest Mohan Pieris PC said the theme today was hospitality. “I ask all students to extend that hospitality in the nation building process. Seeing the way our students are progressing, I can say with confidence that this country has a great future,” he said.

The Chief Guest thanked Fr Rector and the organising committee for inviting him as the Chief Guest at the Walk. “Let us walk from strength to strength with the fruits of virtue we produce,” the Chief Guest said.

Rector Sylvester Ranasinghe thanked all the participants who took part in the Walk and assisting them.
