PDA delegation to visit Jaffna
A twenty member delegation of the Petroleum Dealers’ Association
(PDA) comprising office bearers and Executive Committee members headed
by its President Raja Samaratunga will embark on a goodwill tour of
Jaffna peninsula on 23 and 24 July where they will be meeting petroleum
dealers in the North.
Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Manager, Marketing (Retail) D.S.L.
Muhandiramge and his Deputy, B.G.H.N. Mendis together with a senior
officer of the Reparis and Maintenance Unit will accompany the
delegation to Jaffna.
For the first time in 30 years all petroleum dealers in the Jaffna
peninsula will assemble at 3.00 p.m. on July 23 at the Cooperative
Auditorium, KKS Road, Jaffna to discuss matters pertaining to the
distribution network, and suggest and discuss ways and means of
improving and stabilizing the petroleum business and more importantly,
the provision of a better and more efficient service to customers and
empowering the re-settlement and development process under the “Uthurata
Vasanthaya” program of the Government to uplift the quality of life of
the people in the North.
This goodwill tour and meeting of petroleum dealers in the North is
being organized and coordinated by the Association’s Vice President, W.S.
Shelton Fernando, Joint Secretary Nandasiri Galhena, Executive Committee
Members, K.S. Ponnampalam and A.M. Thananayagham while CPC Area Manager
(North) V. Shanmuganathan and PDA Administrative Secretary Asoka
Mallawarachchi will function as Liaison Officers. |
