Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa yesterday
stated that the personnel of the three Forces and Police should
maintain the professional and high standards with the same skill
they gained during the humanitarian operation against the LTTE.

Soldier allegedly shoots colleague dead
A soldier allegedly fired at a group of soldiers
killing one and injuring three others in the Serunuwara area,
Trincomalee Monday midnight. The suspect was arrested. Police
spokesman SP Prishantha Jayakody said the soldier fired at four
other soldiers while they were on duty near Serunuwera Army camp in
Meegasgodella.
