SriLankans Service Delivery Head, Captain Milinda Ratnayake, said
SriLankan Airlines is on a mission to transform the entire customer
experience, both in the air and on the ground. We want the world to take
note of the superior standards that we offer, and we are delighted that
the Imperial Mark Commission has bestowed this honour on us once again.
The Imperial Mark honours service-oriented organizations that
maintain the highest standards.
The stringent standards of the Imperial Mark Commission ensure that
less than 1 percent of organizations that are nominated for
consideration.
The Imperial Mark Commission said they are pleased to re-issue an
Imperial Mark to SriLankan Airlines at this time.
“We have examined SriLankan Airlines products and services and find
that it offers a high level of service.
“Its staff and service on-board are comparable, and in some cases
surpasses, that experienced in the first class cabins of some airlines.”
In 2006 SriLankan became the first airline in Asia to be awarded an
Imperial Mark. A team of auditors from the Imperial Mark Commission
recently re-evaluated SriLankan Airlines products and service, and the
airlines Imperial Mark was extended up to May 2014.
We intend to earn many more prestigious accolades, and have already
requested the global airline rating agency Skytrax to carry out
comprehensive audits of our services. We have a proud tradition of warm
and caring service, to which we recently added sumptuous new menus
including a unique Five-Star Meal Service and A-La-Carte Menu, and a
whole new array of beverages, Capt. Ratnayake said. The Imperial Mark
Commission is located in London and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. All
types of service-oriented industries are considered for Imperial Marks.
Airlines are evaluated on factors such as service, comfort level in
cabins, cuisine, tidiness, entertainment, and also on standards at
check-in desks, lounges, and baggage delivery in airports.
