The twenty-fourth Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce
and Industry (CACCI) Conference held last week in Colombo, elected
currently the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Deputy Vice Chairman Suresh

appointed to this eminent post. The election is a reflection of the
importance the Asia Pacific region places in Sri Lanka as a keyplayer in
the region.
Shah is a member of the Board of Carson Cumberbatch and Co, and
functions as Chief Executive and Board Member of the group's brewery
business - which comprise two publicly listed companies, The Ceylon
Brewery PLC and Lion Brewery Ceylon PLC. He is also a Director of the
Sri Lanka Business Development Centre.
Shah has been actively involved in the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce
activities for many years and sits on several Chamber Sub-Committees,
including those relating to Economic and Fiscal Policy and Peace and
Reconciliation.
He also serves as Vice President of the Sri Lanka Institute of
Directors since 2009 and is a council member of the Employers Federation
of Ceylon and the Industrial Association of Sri Lanka. |
