It is well accepted that access to credit is crucial for economic growth and is the engine for private sector development.

Removing barriers to a wide range of financial services can unleash private enterprise productivity and help reduce the size of the informal sector.

The Credit Information Bureau of Sri Lanka (CRIB) has arranged a presentation on "Credit Reports and Beyond" for its stakeholders.

All CEOs, compliance officers and credit officers of authorized lending Institutions of commercial banks, specialized banks, leasing and finance companies have been invited for this program. It will be held on July 15, at the Ramada Colombo.

"Credit Reports and Beyond", will bring three industry known speakers from overseas to explain how credit bureaus can help to develop lending operations and analytical models for risk management practices.

Introducing value added services will benefit both the bureaus and their users and improve access to finance for the broader community.
