Lankan TV journalists in training program
Sri Lanka is a participant at the training program on the
International Training on TV Documentary Program Production in
Indonesia.

Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry jointly with the Indonesian
Communication and Information Technology Ministry has organized the
International Training on TV Documentary Program Production for 14
participants from eight developing countries; Bangladesh, Lao PDR,
Maldives, New Caledonia, PNG, Sri Lanka, Timor Leste Vietnam, and
Indonesia. Sri Lanka is represented by two participants from ITN and
Rupavahini. The training started on July 6 will end on August 3 at the
Multi Media Training Center (MMTC) Yogyakarta, Indonesian.
The training aimed at providing technical know-how in the field of TV
documentary program production, and strengthening Indonesia’s
relationship and cooperation with participating countries.
The theme this year is “poverty alleviation through local economic
development”, which aimed to capture Indonesia’s success in developing
local economy through community development.
In addition to giving opportunities for participants to learn about
Indonesia’s poverty alleviation policy, they will also make a
documentary program about the Jambidan, Kasongan and Kebon Agung
villages in Bantul Region, villages of Indonesia’s success stories in
synergizing the economic policies and programs between the Government,
private sector and local community in alleviating poverty. |
