Nothing against UN – Ven Elle Gunawansa Thera
Only opposed to Advisory Panel:

Sri Lanka has nothing against the United Nations Organization. It is
only opposed to the so-called Advisory Panel appointed by its Secretary
General Ban Ki-moon at his own whim, Ven Elle Gunawansa Thera said. Ven
Gunawansa Thera said Sri Lanka is not ungrateful to forget the financial
assistance provided by the UN to uplift the living standards of poor and
under privileged community in rural areas.

UN assistance specially focused at the poor children would always be
appreciated by all citizens in this country. Ven Gunawansa Thera was
speaking at a media conference at Sawsiripaya auditorium yesterday
organized to support the fast-unto-death campaign staged by National
Freedom Front Chairman Wimal Weerawansa.
It has been very clear that the appointment of his Advisory Panel is
on the needs of worldwide LTTE sympathizers who supported separatism
right throughout.
“We cannot give into their desires,” the Thera stressed.
He said that he was unhappy about the action of other political party
leaders for not supporting the anti-Moon campaign launched by Weerawansa.
The people will realize who the real patriots and non-patriots are,
he said.
