Authentic Malaysia spice food festival!:
The Ceylon Continental is bringing authenticity to celebration
through their Malaysian Food Promotion held at the Hotel between the
17th and 24th of July.

The event traditionally features a dazzling variety of spices, and
visitors to Colombo this season will find the charismatic Chef Yew Seong
Lip turning dinners into delicacies, at the Hotel’s 24 hour coffee shop,
Emerald.
‘For little over a week between 7pm and 11pm, Emerald will be turned
into a slice of Malaysia. Specially decked up in traditional our coffee
shop will offer an unmatched appreciation of Malaysian food, with the
accompaniment of Live music’ the Hotel said.
‘Chef Yew Seong Lip, who we’ve specially flown in, extends his
warmest welcome to our Hotel, and all diners who wish to sample Malaysia
outside Malaysia. He has been actively involved in organizing culinary
events with national and global relevance and was a Committee Member and
Director of Education at the Chefs Association of Malaysia.
So fans can rest assured that he will take good care of them from
start to finish. Chef is also a strong believer of preserving the
authenticity of Malaysian heritage and cuisine, and he delights in
keeping dishes as close to his heart as possible’ a Hotel spokesperson
stated.
Chef Yew Seong Li has worked in several hotels in Malaysia and
specializes in Penang Peranakan cuisine. Some of his signature dishes,
and the items offered by the Hotel include Curry Kapitan, Classic Nyonya
Sambal Goreng and Penang Assam Laksa. |
