Appointment of Advisory Council recommended
The United National Party Reforms Committee has
recommended the appointment of an Advisory Council comprises the
Party Leader, the Deputy Leader, Assistant Leader, National
Organizer and Chairman to make all other appointments in the party
including all electoral organizers.

Salary hike with 2011 budget
Finance and Planning Deputy Minister Chandrasiri
Gajadeera yesterday stated in Parliament that the Rs. 2,500 salary
hike promised in the Mahinda Chinthana - Vision for the Future will
be granted to public servants through the 2011 budget. Around 1.2
million public servants will be entitled for this increment, he
said.
