Sri Lankan industries able to excel sans GSP+

Sri Lankan industries have the ability to excel even without the General System of Preference (GSP+) concession. The GSP+ concession was indeed a bonus for the industries to enter into the international market, yet we cannot depend on concessions everlastingly, Dial Textile Industries (Pvt) Ltd., Managing Director, Neil Umagiliya told Daily News Business.

To achieve US $ 2 billion revenue:

Sri Lanka needs to increase the quantity of IT/BPO professionals without compromising on quality for the industry to grow, a senior industry official said. It will enable Sri Lankan IT BPO industry to achieve the US $ two billion revenue in five years time, IFS South Asia Vice President Jayantha De Silva told Daily News business.
