Corporate sector making headway now

The corporate sector in the country is remarkably emerging with the cessation of hostilities in the country. Insurance, Banking, IT institutions and leasing companies are expanding their ventures into liberated areas and it will create a great impact on country's economy.

HP Lanka Private Limited, Country Manager, Enterprise Business Sri Lanka and Maldives Shiran Perera said manufacturing sector of the country is taking IT very seriously as suppliers engaged in this industry are looking for forecasting, proper deliveries.

Suppliers need to have the visibility of the manufacturing process, great timing and business intelligence.

Apart from that, telecommunication companies, airlines, other technology-based companies are remarkably using information technology in order to provide customer centric service to the customers.

Perera said that global IT industry suffered considerable losses in the face of economic recession in 2008. However, the company managed to record a significant growth since 2009.

HP yesterday announced their new HP integrity solutions specially HP integrity server blades that extensively improve customers service level agreement performance, provide up to 100 percent application and make simpler mission vital computing for the most demanding workloads.
