Six police stations in Mullaitivu soon

Six Police Stations will be set up in the Mullaitivu District soon. Mullaitivu Special Forces Commander Major General Prasanna Silva told the media at the Mullaitivu Security Force Headquarters Monday that the six Police stations will be established within a fortnight.

Police nab absconding suspects

Two suspects wanted in connection with 67 cases of house breaking and other thefts and against whom 15 open warrants had been issued by Courts were arrested by offices of the Central Province Special Investigations Unit yesterday.

US Supreme Court affirms LTTE ban

Giving a decisive blow to all terror groups, the US Supreme Court upheld its government’s decision to bar terror groups like the LTTE on Monday. In a majority decision six to three the Court affirmed the Federal Law that bars ‘’material support’’ to foreign terrorist organizations, rejecting a free speech challenge from humanitarian aid groups.
