Van falls into precipice killing one

One person died and six others seriously injured when a van veered off the road and plunged into a 200 foot precipice beside the New Valley main road, Nortonbridge, Wednesday. Four of the injured were admitted to the Clengen hospital, Dickoya and two with critical injuries to the Nawalapitiya base hospital.

The victims were residents of Kuda Maskeliya and the accident had occurred while they were returning from Nuwara Eliya. Norwood police are investigating.
