President moots measures to identify Government vehicles

President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday directed the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic Department to introduce a new system to identify Government vehicles easily.

The President said that there should be a mechanism to identify Government vehicles easily.

President Rajapaksa made this order at the progress review meeting of the Transport Ministry held at Temple Trees yesterday. He added that a new colour should also be introduced to the number plates of all Government vehicles.
