Dilshan leads Sri Lanka to crushing win
Sri Lanka captain Tillekeratne Dilshan led his
team to a crushing victory over Zimbabwe at Queens Sports Club here
Tuesday in a Tri-nations series that also involves India. He scored
60 runs in 46 balls, including a six and seven fours, to add to the
61 he took from India on Sunday. It was his 18th half century in
internationals.

First ABA meet from June 5 to 8:
Slimline boxers out to dominate
The ABA Men & Women Novices Boxing Meet will be
held at Royal College boxing ring Colombo 7 from June 5 to 8,
commencing from 4.00 p.m daily. This meet is open to all men & Women
boxers over 17 years and below 34 years. Any boxer who has never won
any ABA Novices meet and ABA Intermediate Meet before or not won any
major meet conducted by the ABA or not represented for Military or
Police Boxing Tournaments are eligible to participate in this meet.

Shehan and Chandrika clinch gold medals in Pune
Sri Lanka’s Shehan Ambepitiya and Chandrika
Subashini Ratnayake won gold medals in their respective events in
the first leg of the 2010 Asian Grand Prix series being worked off
in Shri Siv Chakrapathi Sports Complex, Pune, India yesterday.
