Clothing Technology Department under a new affiliation ratified
recently.

A Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two institutions
envisages that A and E will also refurbish and maintain the lecture room
known as TLR4, and sponsor an annual award for the best performance at
industrial training by a student of the BSc Engineering degree program
in textile and clothing technology.
“The Moratuwa University is one of the biggest contributors of
graduates to the apparel sector, and A and E is privileged to support
its Textile and Clothing Technology Department, as its strategic sewing
thread partner,” said A and E CEO Janaka Gamage.
“As one of the biggest employers in the sector, the Brandix Group is
appreciative of the efforts of the university to improve standards and
motivate its students,” he said.
The MoU was signed by A and E Lanka CEO and the Head of the
Department of Textile and Clothing Technology Head Dr. G. L. D
Wickramasinghe.

PC Pharma donates glucometers
PC Pharma provided a range of glucometers to be used in Government
and private hospitals.
With the Development of these products, and the enhancement of
treatment procedures, PC Pharma recently presented 100 Rheamed
glucometers to the Medical Supplies division for use in paediatric units
across the island. Established for nearly 3 years, PC Pharma has

The Nugegoda branch of Swarnamahal Financial
Services was moved to a more prominent and convenient location at
No. 31/1, Stanley Thilakaratne Mawatha, Nugegoda for the benefit of
its customers last week.
Chairperson Dr. Soma Edirisinghe said at the opening
that Swarnamahal Financial Services commenced its operations in
Nugegoda in 2007 and in order to provide better facilities to their
customers, it became necessary to re-locate to a more prominent and
convenient location, the result of which is the setting up of the
branch at this location.
