National Policy for body beautiful soon

Kapila Kumara, the newly appointed President of Sri Lanka Bodybuilding Federation said that he hopes to introduce a National Policy for Bodybuilding in Sri Lanka and in addition that he is also going to establish a national gymnasium for bodybuilding. Prasanna Peeris bagged a silver medal in the World Championship Last year bringing honour to our country.

"We need to uplift the sport to international level. Now bodybuilding is popular only in few areas in Sri Lanka. We need to popularise this sport islandwide. We also going to grad fitness centres in the islandwide said Kumara.

Bodybuilding is not only a performing art it is a very good sport. Which was included in the National Sports Festival from 2007. We hope to start 'Mr School boy' Competition very soon." Kapila Kumara said.

Secretary of Sri Lanka Bodybuilding Federation Chandana Aluthge, former Minister of Tourism Achala Jagoda also spoke at the press briefing.
