NSB new Chairman assumes duties
Pradeep Kariyawasam has been appointed as the Chairman of the
National Savings Bank (NSB) with effect from May 14.
Kariyawasam assuming duties at the NSB. The former Chairman
S.R. Attygalle, Executive Director W.H. Piyadasa, Director
Hema Madiwela, GM/CEO H.M. Hennayake Bandara, Senior DGM
Dhammika Perera, DGMs K. Amarathunga and Jagath Gamanayake
of NSB are also present. |
He was the former Chairman of Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation ,
subsequent to the corporation being re-vested with the Government.
Kariyawasam counts over 30 years of experience in the private sector
with over 15 years experience as a senior corporate figure at Chief
Executive and General Manager levels at respected establishments such as
Unimo Enterprises, United Motors Lanka Ltd Browns etc.
His extensive experience in marketing and sales management
encompasses a cross section of large corporate conglomerates.
Kariyawasam has also functioned as a respected consultant in business
management and project management.
He holds a certificate in marketing from CIM (UK). In addition he has
also functioned on the Boards of Lanka Hospitals and Seylan Bank PLC, as
a Director.
