Wanhai begins East Africa Service at JCT

Wanhai that has been using the Jaya Container Terminal (JCT) of Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) for the past 12 years (since 1998), commenced its East African Service (EAF) recently together with Evergreen and Simatech, all three lines deploying one vessel each with a carrying capacity of 1,200 TEUs each.

The unique factor of this service is that it will turn around in Colombo enabling all exports from Indian Sub Continent and Far East for East Africa to be transshipped via Colombo. Whilst this East Africa service will enhance Wanhai, Evergreen and Simatech's overall service profiles and provide customers with another selection of quality service, it will also increase transshipment volumes via the Colombo Port.
