Budget before Parliament on June 29
The Government will present the Appropriation Bill for the Year 2010
to Parliament on June 8. It will seek Parliament’s approval for all
expenses for the year ending December 31, 2010, including the expenses
covered by the vote on Account submitted at the beginning of the year
and the provisions made under Article 150 (8) of the Constitution for
the period April 22 to June 22, 2010. The total estimated expenditure
for the year 2010 is Rs 974 Billion.
According to the Appropriation Bill public investment would be
maintained at 6.5 percent of the GDP. The Budget speech will be
presented to Parliament on June 29, 2010.
