All must help transform Lanka into Asia’s miracle - PM

The nation as a whole should contribute to the success of the Mahinda Chintana future vision to transform the motherland to the Miracle of Asia, said Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne.

He was addressing a public rally at the North Central Provincial Council premises Anuradhapura to felicitate him. Matchless and unique personalities had emerged to save the country from disaster during the reigns of kings Agbo, Mahasen, Dutugemunu and Parakramabahu the Great. President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s name will also be written in gold as the leader who eradicated the LTTE bringing peace and prosperity to the country, the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister said though the LTTE has been eradicated from Sri Lanka, it is still active in some foreign countries.

Some groups have got together in foreign countries to form a shadow LTTE regime according to the intelligence sources, he said.
