Hakmana Roads developed

A special rural roads improvement program is underway in the Hakmana
Pradeshiya Sabha area under the Maga Neguma, Hakmana Pradeshiya Sabha
Chairman C. H. Halpage said.
Rs. 70 million has been set apart for carpeting the Ellewela -
Batadola road and Rs. 10 million each has been allocated for the
development of Amangala and Dharmarama rural roads. Construction
activities on the Janadipathi Mawatha in this PS area are also underway,
the PS Chairman said.
Meanwhile the Urban Development Authority will develop the Kirinda
town in the Kirinda-Puhulwella Pradeshiya Sabha area.
The proposed town development plan includes the constructions and
reconstructions of the Kirinda new market complex, proposed public
library and the bus stand, Kirinda-Puhulwella Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman
Sanath Hettiarachchi said.
The estimated cost of the project would be over Rs. 50 million.
Meanwhile Southern Provincial Fisheries Ministry will construct
community halls for fishermen in the Matara district. Rs. 2 million has
been allocated for this. |
