Chamber congratulates President

Members of The Sri Lanka Chamber of Small and Medium Industries congratulated President Mahinda Rajapaksa's Government on its historic win at last week's general elections. "We are confident that this victory will usher in an auspicious new beginning for our constituent communities in post war Sri Lanka. It is necessary for the UPFA Government which is to be formed shortly to get its acts together on all fronts without leaving any room for external forces to meddle with the affairs of our country.

Now that the people have manifestly reposed their trust in You it is now up to the New Government to refrain from making us regret having done so. You have to eliminate the culture of impunity and strengthen the position of our Country's critics which would be most welcome for national development," Chamber President Aloy Jayawardane said.
