Aureos sells 2.5 percent stake in Sunshine Holdings

Aureos South Asia Fund ("ASAF"), a South Asia focused private equity has sold a 2.5 percent stake in Sunshine Holdings PLC ("Sunshine") through the Colombo Stock Exchange during in March and April. In August 2008, ASAF invested Rs 510 million for a 25 percent stake in Sunshine by way of a private placement. ASAF notes that this divestment was made as part of an overall drive to improve the liquidity and public float of Sunshine shares.

ASAF is confident in the future of Sunshine and retains a 22.5 percent stake in the company.
