Illicit brewery raided

The Walana-Panadura Anti-Vice Squad conducted a raid on an illicit brewery at Wendesiwaththa in the Kehelbaddara area in the Gampaha Police division on Saturday and seized 25 barrels containing 4,734 litres of goda.

Police Media Spokesman SP Prishantha Jayakody said the Police arrested one suspect. The suspect, seized brew and the implements used in the illicit will be produced before Gampaha Magistrates Court.
