Lankan students create magic with brushes in Japan

Five Sri Lankan students won special prizes in the year 6 to 15
category at an International Child Art Competition and Exhibition held
in Japan.
The competition was organized by Hydrangea Award (Gold) International
Exchange Exhibition Naritasan Shinghoji Temple in Narita, Japan.
The five students are K.R. Sanjula Hasantha of Gampaha Taksila Maha
Vidyalaya, I.D. Sasini Dulanjali of Yasodara Devi Balika Maha Vidyalaya,
Shaheni Himasa Mendis of Gampaha Holycross College, Chaturangika
Sathsarani Senadeera of Gampaha Taksila Maha Vidyalaya and Isuri Anjani
Kahawewithana of Sribodhi Vidyalaya, Gampaha.
All the students were trained by the Gampaha J.E.S. International Art
School which had produced several winners at past International
exhibitions.
The school’s art instructress Jayani Senarathna also received an
award. |
