Face lift for Veyangoda

The Veyangoda town will be extensively developed under a new town plan within two years, said UPFA Gampaha district leader and Senior Presidential Advisor Basil Rajapaksa.

He made this observation when he visited Veyangoda Sri Nagendraramaya temple recently to receive the blessings of the Maha Sangha.

Under the new town plan, Veyangoda will get a Government hospital with all facilities. A State owned land called Mikadowatta located near the town will be acquired for the purpose.

Under this new town plan a flyover bridge will also be constructed to minimise heavy traffic jam on the Nittambuwa, Katunayaka main road.

The Gampaha district UPFA leader paid a visit to historic Attanagalla Raja Maha Viharaya in the morning where, Viharadhipathi Ven. Dr Pannila Ananda Thera invoked blessings of the triple gem on him.
