DSS strongly placed

DS Senanayake Vidyalaya is in a strong position against Moratu Vidyalaya in their Inter-school Under-19 Cricket Tournament match worked off at Moratuwa.

At the end of day one Vidyalians were 4 for no loss in reply to DS Senanayake's huge total of 335 for 8 declared.

The highlight of the game is an eighth wicket partnership of 154 runs between Madumal Weerasinghe who cracked 113 runs including 10 fours and seven sixes and Wasuki Watakepotha who was unbeaten on 53. Janidu Devinda was the most successful bowler for Vidyalians with 3 for 49.
