Over 250 IDP families resettled

Two hundred and sixty IDP families were resettled in the Palai Divisional Secretariat area yesterday. The families are from four Grama Sevaka Divisions of Pulopallai East, West, Palai town and Vannankerni.

Steps have been taken to resettle 855 persons belonging to 260 families. The families are from Vavuniya Welfare Centres at Chettikulam Zones 1, 3 and 6. Authorities brought down these families on Saturday. They are staying at the Palai Roman Catholic Tamil Mixed School.
