Commemorative Exhibition in Oluvil

The Martin Luther King Jr. commemorative exhibition on the theme 'Justice Everywhere' was successfully held at the Faculty of Arts and Culture Complex of the South Eastern University of Oluvil drawing a large crowd of school children and University students in Ampara District from February 17-19, 2010.

The exhibition organized by the American Embassy was launched in Colombo on February 6 by Dr King's son, Martin Luther King III and was formally opened by US Ambassador Patricia Butenis attracted a more than 1100 attended the exhibition.

The Amapra District Exhibition held at Oluvil Campus began with the blessings of religious leaders and a welcome speech by the Vice Chancellor, Dr S.M. Mohamed Ismail. Glen Davis, Cultural Affairs Officer of the U.S. Embassy delivered the keynote address.
