JVP mission to destroy public trust fails
Nadira GUNATILLEKE
The JVP launched a conspiracy to destroy the free healthcare service
during the recent Presidential Election campaign and used certain
advertisements which had a very negative impact on the National
Immunization Program, Healthcare and Nutrition Minister Nimal Siripala
de Silva said.
Addressing a ceremony in Badulla recently Minister de Silva said the
trade unions belong to the JVP tried to make the country's healthcare
system unstable from the beginning.
The public did not believe fabricated `stories' and the advertising
campaign launched by the JVP to destroy the public trust on State health
system. The public has already understood how good our health system is
when comparing with the other countries in the world.
They failed their 'mission' which launched by stealing banned and
expired drugs to stage 'issues' and were now hiding every corner of the
country. If there are any problems existing to stop the the progress of
State health sector, they should be removed.
The JVP even tried to use some drugs that had been taken out from use
in Sri Lanka a long time back to create 'incidents' and 'issues' to
sling mud on the Ministry and Government. But all their efforts failed. |
