BASL condemns protests and demos near SC
The Executive Committee of the Bar Association
of Sri Lanka at its meeting held on February 13 unanimously passed a
resolution condemning the recent protest march and demonstrations
conducted in the vicinity of the Supreme Court premises and within

Maha Sangha Convention postponed
The Maha Sangha Convention that was to be held
next Thursday at the historic Maha Maluwa of the Sri Dalada Maligawa
has been postponed indefinitely, the Chief Prelates of the four
sects of the Buddhist clergy said in a statement in Kandy yesterday.
