Sachith guides Thurstan to victory

Spinners Sachith Dias and skipper Shihan Kamileen shared nine wickets between them as Thurstan College trounced Kingswood College Kandy by an innings and 17 runs in their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match which concluded at Thurstan ground yesterday.

Thurstan: 292 for 8 decl

Kingswood: 127 (U. Udara 52, K. Tharindu 2 for 15, S. Dias 3 for 41, S. Kamileen 2 for 14) and 148 (N. Dunukara 38, I. Rabel 51, L. Madushan 24, S. Kamileen 4 for 9, S. Dias 5 for 72).

First innings win for Ananda

Leg spinner Sachithra Perera captured five wickets for 83 as Ananda College took first innings honours over St. Benedict's College in their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match which ended in a draw at Kotahena yesterday.

Ananda: 245 for 9 decl and 80 for 2 (U. Nadiranga 30, E. Ratnayake 2 for 22).
