Munchee Division II Provincial VB from Saturday

The Provincial stage of Division II Munchee All Island Volleyball Championship is due to commence this Saturday February 13 in nine provinces and will continue till February 21. A total of 180 teams (Western P. 36, Southern P 22, Central P 16, Sabaragamuwa 24, Uva P 24, Wayamba 22, North Central P 16, Eastern P 08, North P 12) have qualified to compete during this stage.

National level matches in Division II is scheduled for February 27 and 28. The winner and the runner up in the Provincial Tournament qualifies to play in the National level which will be conducted at the Davisamara MMV Courts Seeduwa. The final is to be staged on March 13 at National Youth Services Council Indoor Stadium along with the final of Division I tournament.

The Division I matches are to be conducted from February 22-26 at NYSC courts at Maharagama.

The winner and the three runners up teams will receive trophies, cash awards and certificates. There will also be special awards for both men and women categories.

Division II provincial matches are to be conducted at the following venues Western Province of Junior school courts Oruwala, Southern Province at Public ground at Galle Fort, Central Province Public ground Getambe, Uva Province Public Ground Moneragala, Wayamba Province Senanayake MMV, Madampe, North Central Province Indoor Stadium, Anuradhapura, Eastern Province McHeyzer Stadium Trincomalee, Northern Province, Jaffna Central College Courts on February 20-21 and Sabaragamuwa Province on Feb. 13-14 at Lucky VB Courts, Pussella.
