ICASL grants schol

Thushara Ratnayake from Pahalaobadayagama, Anuradhapura is the national sixth ranker in the recently concluded G.C.E. A/L examinations. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) has offered him a scholarship to commence the famed ICASL accountancy course.

Thushara who lives in Anuradhapura schooled at Kekirawa National School, thanked the ICASL for recognizing his capabilities and awarding him this opportunity. Thushara said that even in spite of his significant achievement he himself has been dubious of his future due to the economic instability of his family and that he along with his family are extremely grateful to the ICASL for opening a new avenue of promise for his life. ICASL President Sujeewa Mudalige said that ICASL is committed to giving equal opportunities to all students irrespective of their background. ICASL Officer Chief Executive Aruna Alwis said that Thushara Ratnayake can be identified as a brilliant student and the Institute is pleased to come forward to assist him.
