UN ready to resume talks with NK

UN: A UN Top official will arrive in the Peoples Democratic Republic of Korea (PDRK) to resume bilateral talks on mutual interest issues.

The mission is led by Deputy Secretary for Political Affairs Lynn Pascoe who will travel as special envoy of the Secretary General of the world organization Ban Ki-Moon. Pascoe arrived in Seoul last Saturday, South Korea Capital, and in China on Monday before moving to Pyongyang where he will also meet with the UN team working in North Korea, announced sources in New York.

Press Media in United Nations assured that the eventual resumption of the so-called six-way talks on the nuclear issue in the PDRK, at standstill since 2008, is leading the agenda of Pascoe contacts with his hosts.

The PDRK, South Korea, United States, China and Japan and Russia take part in the talks.
